Welcome to the page about our metal band! We are Obsidian Grace - a collective that shares a passion for powerful and melodic music. Our journey began in January 2025, and since then, we have pursued one goal: to create music that touches souls and conveys our emotions.

Why Obsidian Grace?

The name Obsidian Grace combines two opposing yet interconnected elements:

Obsidian – a volcanic glass born from fire and chaos. It is dark, mystical, and sharp, embodying the very essence of darkness. In mythology, obsidian is associated with magic, transformation, deep mysteries, and protection from malevolent forces.

Grace – a symbol of light within darkness, spiritual elevation, beauty, and inner strength. This word conveys a sense of mystical harmony, refinement, and emotional depth.

By merging these two concepts, Obsidian Grace reflects the spiritual contrast and musical atmosphere of the band—a fusion of heavy, dark energy (goth/doom metal) with melodic depth and emotional expressiveness. It evokes the haunting beauty of a half-ruined gothic cathedral—majestic and tragic at the same time.

The name encapsulates the idea of a tense harmony between light and darkness, strength and fragility, despair and hope—the very emotions that resonate in our music.
